Welcome back folks!!! It looks like another year has kicked off for all of us Fantasy geeks, and with the NFL draft going the way it has, it should be a fairly entertaining season ahead. Although there is no such thing as an off-season for us here at DraftGuide, we did manage to get away from all of this for a bit, and hope the rest of you in the fantasy football biz took the opportunity to do the same. But its not time to talk about our winter vacation, or the 3-wood I took within 10 ft. from 210 yds. last week at Columbia Point...its time for yet another... Notes from the Dog Pound. What did we learn last year? Well, depending on which viewpoint you take... We here at DraftGuide learned that we needed an overall coversheet for draft night. Not that last years model was inferior; we just noticed a lot of page turning that didnt seem necessary during the rush of the first round or two. So...poof! now we have one. We learned that implementing custom scoring systems wasnt as impossible as once believed. It took many, many hours of guru-like programming, but my man Ruben came through with flying colors. We hope it helps. We learned that making sleeper picks in June for national magazines coming out in August kind of leaves you feeling like you left your fly open in front of your future Father-in-law. We learned that not everyone understands what their email address is. We learned that not everyone understands what a password is. We learned that hardware/software/internet breakdowns will usually occur right in the middle of peak times. Never in the middle of May, at 3 am. In Fantasy Football terms, we learned that...
In general football on the web terms we learned that...
Im sure there will be more rants and raves in the future, so for now, welcome back if youve been here before...and Welcome if you just found us. Time for me to get back to work... Until next time, The Sun Dog |
